A richly illustrated publication about one of the best operational associations of the Polish Armed Forces in the West. At the turn of July and August, the division landed in Normandy as part of the 2nd Corps of the 1st Canadian Army. It fought at Falaise (August 8-21), liberated Axel and other Belgian and then Dutch towns: Baarle-Nassau, Alphen, Gilze. It fought to cross the Mark and Wilhelmina canals (November 1-3), participated in the battle to eliminate the German bridge at the mouth of the Meuse, and then moved to defense along the river on a broad front north of Breda. On April 7, 1945, it entered German lands, after crossing the Rhine it began operations in Friesland, then an attack towards Wilhemshaven (occupied on May 6).
