Based on pioneering empirical research, the study by Anna Kanios successfully addresses the question about what facts influence the attitudes of employees in the public and non-govermental sector towards partnership. An undisputed value of the study is that it relies on empirical research results and uses several research techniques. A further strength is that it distinguishes three types of attitudes towards local partnerships between socio-demographic characteristics and experiences with regard to partnerships. Its cognitive and utilitarian obiectives have been clearly formulated, and it is one of the few empirical studies devoted entirely to the subject of partnership. The study demonstrates key factors having a significant impact on the knowledge about partnership and on the emotional attitude towars partnership, as well as factors determining the emotional attitude and actions suporting partnership.
