Maria Rivans is a contemporary British artist celebrated for her distinctive scrapbook-style collage aesthetic — a vibrant mash-up of Surrealism and Pop Art. Using re-appropriated vintage ephemera, she constructs dreamlike worlds rich in colour, intricate detail, and subtle humour, drawing viewers into fantastical realms of the imagination.

Rivans exhibits widely across the UK and internationally, including in Hong Kong, New York, and throughout Europe. She has held notable solo shows at the Saatchi Gallery in London and Galerie Bhak in Seoul. She has been showcased by Christie’s London, featured in The Times, and selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition curated by Grayson Perry. She also appeared on the BBC’s Art Ninja and has been commissioned by The Dorchester, London.

Rivans is the author of the bestselling Extraordinary Things to Cut Out and Collage and The Extraordinary Things Sticker Book, both published by Laurence King. She has also created Four Seasons and The Christmas Collage Kit, published by Skittledog, an imprint of Thames & Hudson. In addition to her books, she has produced a range of commissioned jigsaw puzzles, also published by Skittledog.
